Lady Gaga has found her fairy-tale ending.
The singer released her seventh studio album, “Mayhem,” in March 2025, which in many ways is a tribute to her fiancé, Michael Polansky, who served in an official capacity as co-writer and executive producer as well as muse for more than one song.
Perhaps the most obvious is “Blade of Grass,” a power ballad about finding a partner who can finally fulfill the lonely pop star and love her forever — and a nod to one of her special rings.
Indeed Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, has fallen head over heels in the love department a few times; she was engaged two times before Polansky popped the question in April 2024.
Below, take a closer look at Gaga’s bling, past and present.
Taylor Kinney
Gaga started dating Taylor Kinney in 2011, and the “Chicago Fire” actor popped the question on Valentine’s Day in 2015. Upping the romantic factor, Kinney expressed his love with a heart-shaped engagement ring.
The whopper was created with celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz and customized with a pavé band that spelled out their initials and another heart.
“The stone is big and quite beautiful, and actually more expensive than some of the estimates I have read,” Schwartz told InStyle at the time. “It’s a challenge to get an excellent heart shape with perfections — the shoulders of the gem have to be totally symmetrical; Lady Gaga’s is all that.”
The pair called off their engagement in July 2016.
Christian Carino
Shortly after her split from Kinney, Gaga moved on with her CAA agent, Christian Carino, who is 20 years her senior.
After less than a year, the couple became engaged in late 2017, although the pop star did not confirm the news until October 2018.
It was hard to hide her new sparkler, however, which was just as unique as the one from Kinney. Instead of a rare cut, Carino went with a unique color; he chose a large pink sapphire center stone surrounded by a floral halo of diamonds.
However, the couple did not make it down the aisle either; they confirmed their split in early 2019.
Michael Polansky
Gaga appears to have finally found the one with Polansky, a businessman whom she met through her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, in 2019.
After living together in relative isolation throughout the COVID-19 pandemic in Malibu, Calif., Polansky popped the question in April 2024 after a day spent rock climbing.
He presented the pop star with a colossal oval-shaped diamond ring that she wore discreetly for a time until she triumphantly flashed the rock at the 2024 Venice Film Festival that September.
Experts tell Page Six Style that the oval-cut diamond looks to be around 10 carats — but could be as large as 20 carats — and estimate its value at anywhere from $500,000 to $2 million.
“Her ring from Michael Polansky centers on a massive diamond but is also far more classic and timeless. Her first two rings had color and character, but her engagement ring from Polansky is sophisticated and eternal,” Mike Fried, CEO of Diamond Pro, told Page Six Style of the departure from her previous designs.
“It speaks to the true bond and long-term commitment of the couple. It’s a choice that says, ‘We are going to stick together forever.’”
And it’s not just about the rock — Gaga revealed in interviews surrounding “Blade of Grass” that Polansky first wrapped a literal blade of grass around her hand, just like the lyrics in her subsequent song depict. He gifted it to her wrapped in resin so she can wear it with her diamond as they work on wedding plans.
