Teddi Mellencamp thought she was ‘on her deathbed’ after doctors found brain tumors

Tamra Judge recalled Teddi Mellencamp emotionally saying she was “on her deathbed” after doctors discovered several cancerous brain tumors.

On Thursday’s episode of the “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast, the besties discussed how Mellencamp silently struggled with migraines and not feeling mentally alert six months before she went to the hospital for excruciating pain in February.

Judge recalled Mellencamp texting her shortly after a CT scan revealed five tumors, saying, “You said to me, ‘You all thought I was mental, but actually I’m on my deathbed.’”

“I remember feeling like this is actually it,” the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum, 43, chimed in.

The duo broke into tears as Judge, 57, recalled responding to Mellencamp’s text message, saying, “No, you’re not, because if you’re on yours, then I’m on mine because I can’t live without you.”

Elsewhere in the podcast, Mellencamp shared she had been suffering from migraines since last year but refused to acknowledge the pain due to “bad stuff” that was happening in her life.

“I didn’t want to face any of it,” she said. “And I was like, I just need to keep moving forward. And if I keep moving forward, then everything’s going to be fine.”

While the reality star didn’t elaborate on the personal issues, she and her estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, announced they were divorcing after 13 years of marriage in November 2024.

Judge shared that she noticed a change in Mellencamp’s demeanor and behavior six months before the tumors were found, even though Mellencamp said nothing was wrong.

Mellencamp shared she will start radiation and “some kind of immune therapy” within the next few weeks.

On Feb. 12, the Bravolebrity announced she was undergoing surgery after a CT scan and MRI uncovered several tumors on her brain that doctors believed had been growing for six months.

At the time, four tumors were removed but three more were later found on her brain and two others on her lungs.
